With more than 20 years of career under his belt, PSIKO is one of the veterans of the French hardcore scene, always ready to give you a good dose of Frenchcore kicks in the right way!
A techno fan since 1993, Psiko has been a regular at parties, first in front of the speakers and then behind the turntables (since 1997). The following year, he co-founded the Radiation sound-system with his sidekick Gobus, thus shaking the lands of the Great West with their percussive and abrasive hardcore. Very quickly, he obtained a Hardcore residency in a club and in 2001 he set up a show on the "pirate" radio Radio-G! where he could play his tracks and defend this music he loves so much.
In love with Frenchcore from its beginnings, with influences such as Micropoint, Radium, or Manu Le Malin, he starts composing with determination, and his first EP Planet Kick is born in 2006. He then releases a dozen vinyls on Toon’z Shop Records, ES Production or Audiolab Production, which lead him straight to the doors of the pioneer label of the genre Audiogenic, which he joins in 2008.
A very prolific artist, he released the highly acclaimed Radioactive EP and Disko Inferno EP in 2009, and Zero Tolerance in 2011, all loaded with wild kicks from the underworld! PSIKO doesn’t stop anymore, and follows up with two albums, BEAT+TORTURE+KILL in 2010, an opus acclaimed as much by the public as by the artists, and in 2012 Burning Playground, a completely delirious and mastered album, in the pure line of Frenchcore. This was followed by several productions on the label, including Bad Monster EP, Fast Life, and Obstinate EP, always delivering as much power, hellish kicks, and corrosive rhythms. In 2020, he comes back in force on Audiogenic with the album Game Grid, full of incisive Frenchcore kicks with which he goes to conquer the most incandescent dancefloors: it’s the consecration!
At the same time, he also released several other opuses, notably on the labels Noise Bomb Records, Abralcore, and UndergroundTekno, with the album Psiko Path in 2018: a one-way ticket to the madhouse. His frenzied productions allow him to gain notoriety and to initiate numerous collaborations with the pioneers of the genre Radium, The Speed Freak, Maissouille or Hellfish but also with promising artists such as JKLL, Mr Hope or Okne.
Fervent defender of Frenchcore, it is on stage that Psiko expresses so well the ferocity of his wild kicks! He travels to all the major events in France (especially during the parties organised by Audiogenic), turning the dancefloors upside down for sure, accompanied by the biggest French and international hardcore stars. He also carries the flag of French hardcore all over Europe, delivering some of the most energetic sets at the Ground Zero Festival, at the Pandemonium, at the Angerfist: Retaliate album release tour, at the MuSick XL, at the Winter Conspiracy and many others.
