Coming to us straight from Marseille, Pirate Mind is a major player on the Hardcore scene. It was in 1997 that the Pirate legend began. From the very beginning, just a simple amateur of hard beats, he began going to free parties. That’s where the desire was born: to be a major actor on the scene. In 1999, he joined the Dépravés/FTP Marseille sound system and with them he started performing at numbrous free parties in his region. He fell in love with the stage. This new passion pushed him to organize crazy events such as Hardcore Freaks in 2006 and 2007, where we could see all genres of hardcore: from Hardcore to Doomcore, from Industrial to frenchcore.
It was obvious that Pirate Mind had always had a great knowledge and love for electronic music. His influences come from every type of music of our generation: from the punk of the French band Béruriers Noirs to the insane Hip Hop of the Wu Tang Clan. We can’t forget his major influences from the hardcore scene, Djs such as Lenny Dee, Radium, Promo, Ophidian, Micropoint, Unexist... The ones he was stirred by to compose.
In 2002 he meets Leeloo from Hardcoholics. This meeting pushes him even further in his compositions. Following, in 2006, Pirate Mind decides to create his own label “Necrosociety” and releases Venom, Neokoros, Middle M, Skoza and Rbmz (Progamers). In 2009 he teams up with N’ko from Astrofonik and they create a new label “Social Teknology”, a good year for the future of Frenchcore. He plays France and Europe, sharing the scene with headliners such as Manu Le Malin, The Speed Freak, Daisy, The Dj Producer, and Hellfish, among others. Today Pirate Mind aka Anarchi3 is committed to promoting the hardcore scene in France. To be continued…
