RANDY

Hardcore

Country : Italy

Everything started for Randy during the year 1988. Introduced by a friend to turntablism, he gradually went from private parties to Dj competitions in local clubs and entered the Milan club scene thanks to another Dj called Tony De Franchi.

The years between 1993 and 1995 were quite busy as to Randy: first working as a Dj and speaker in local Radio Power Station, he won a Dj competition in Switzerland, discovered the rave scene in Zurich and started a collaboration with Arnold Meyer to promote his own raves in Italy through RND Promotion, which he created on 1995. At this time, he was also presenting “Rave On Line” and “Extreme” (together with Digital Boy) on Radio Italia Network. After that, he released a few productions on Hot Tracks and Acid Tribe, and was also busy with techno productions under the names of Steve Land and Dex, releasing this time on Planet Rythm UK, Audio, Molecular and Eukatek.

In 1996 Randy began his adventure into the extrem side of Electronic music, while his mixes were sounding more and more Hardcore and Industrial. During the year 1997, he produced a lot of tracks, released on the Italian label Traxtorm, which quickly became hits in Europe. Then, he associated himself with Digital Boy from Raveology in order to create his own label: Head Fuck Records, promoting Hardcore style. Randy achieved a lot of projects in collaboration with artists like Claudio Lancinhouse, Laurent Ho, Micropoint, Noize Creator, The Destroyer... The most important collaboration might be with LuKas (Luca Tavaglione), whom with he created the"Headfuck Dj Team". In 2000, and after he had been Head Fuck Records’ manager for 2 years, he created a new Hardcore label: Randy 909% Records, which totalizes today about 20 references.

In 2005, he collaborates with Radium for his authentic composition, released on Psychik Genocide and on Randy 909%, then signs with Audiogenic a serie of mixes named "Hardcore French Kiss", exploring other sides of the Frenchcore.

Since January 2010, R-909% Records is a member of Audiogenic France and the monthly party R-909 Chapter had never been as popular as for the six last years.
