Biochip C. is The Speed Freak’s new name, which he uses to develop new projects based on a Hardtechno style: having been in the record-business for 11 years Martin Damm has produced more than 230 records (Vinyls, CDs, Albums) and numerous tracks on compilations. He ran many projects under numerous names: The Speed Freak, Biochip C., Subsonic 808, Steel, Null, Spin, Braindub, Search & Destroy, R.I.C., Phase IV, The Shapeshifter, a.m.o., and has worked with labels such as Force Inc Music works, Mille Plateaux, ESP, Go Bang, Mokum, Industrial Strength, Analog, DJ-ungle Fever, Monotone, Pharma, Suck Me Plasma, (amongst others of course), several small labels, some major-companies and his own labels: Shockwave, Napalm, Agent Orange and Anodyne.
He also earned two golden records for his remixes of Party Animals "I Want To Be A Hippy" and Double Vision’s "Knockin´". The last three years were mostly dedicated to touring Japan (4 tours with several gigs all over Japan), the U.S. (Chicago 5x, New York 2x, Los Angeles 7x, Milwaukee 2x),Canada (2 tours), Australia (2 tours with 4 gigs each) and some parts of Europe (Switzerland, Austria, France, Spain, England, Scottland, Holland, eastern Europe) performing live with analogue equipment and/or spinning. Since 2002, he’s associated with the Audiogenic crew, with which he has created his new label: Absurd Audio.
